Changes you can see, newest first. Small fixes ship all the time; this page lists the ones worth knowing about.

  1. Version 2.7

    Clearer draft terms and automatic message clean-up

    • Contact-form messages are now deleted automatically once they are a year old, even if nobody opens the inbox, as the Privacy Policy says.
    • The draft Terms of Service now cover all four plans accurately, point to the contact form for questions, refunds and account problems, and set out the remaining sections. They are still a draft and not yet in effect.
  2. Version 2.6.1

    Every tool on the homepage, on larger screens

    • On screens wider than 768 pixels the homepage now lists every tool in each category. Phones still show three per category with a Show all button.

    Guides, help and a way to reach us

    • New guides section with eight in-depth articles on image formats, compression, resizing, PDF size, email attachments, browser-based processing and text encodings. The compression guide includes a live demo that runs in your browser.
    • Every guided tool page now has numbered steps, worked examples and fixes for common problems, written from how that tool actually behaves.
    • New Help page and a contact form.
    • Fixes: batch cropping now accepts JPEG photos; calculators read numbers like 25,000 correctly instead of treating them as 25; phone photos are no longer sideways in Images to PDF; password-protected PDFs get a clear message; the password generator always includes every character type you tick; the QR generator copies the image itself; SVG to PNG explains files it can’t convert instead of downloading an empty image.

    • Usage guides for 48 more tools, covering everyday, text, image, PDF and developer tools.
    • www.handytechhelper.com now redirects to handytechhelper.com.

    A faster way to the right tool

    • Redesigned homepage with search first, popular tools and category shelves.
    • Search understands everyday phrases, such as “make photo smaller”.
    • Job shortcuts, a “Pick up where you left off” strip and suggestions for the next tool after a task.

    • Sign up or sign in with a Google account.
    • Shareable links that open a tool with the same settings.

    • Favorite tools synced across devices, saved presets and optional tool history.
    • A visual image cropper with drag handles and Square, 4:3, 16:9 and 9:16 presets.

    • HTML runner: a sandboxed live HTML, CSS and JavaScript playground.
    • CSS animation playground with a visual keyframe editor.
    • Colour picker, day-of-week calculator and a set of binary, hex and text converters.
    • Block coding playground for beginners (Plus).
    • The image compressor shows the original and compressed sizes.
