Waveform visualizer Free
Turn an audio file into a waveform image. Pick bars, mirrored or line style, colours and size, play it with a moving cursor, then save PNG or SVG.
About Waveform visualizer
The waveform visualizer draws the shape of a sound file: loud parts rise high and quiet parts stay low. It is handy for podcast artwork, social posts, a track page or simply seeing where the loud and silent parts of a recording are.
Choose a style, colours, bar size and image size, preview the result with playback and a moving cursor, then save it as a PNG picture or a scalable SVG drawing. The audio is analysed in your browser and is never uploaded.
How to use it
- Choose or drop an audio file of up to 50 MB and 20 minutes.
- Pick a style (bars, mirrored or line), colours, background and size.
- Press Play to hear it with a cursor; click or drag on the waveform to jump to a spot.
- Download the waveform as PNG or SVG.
Good to know
- Input is limited to 50 MB and 20 minutes, and the file must be a format your browser can decode.
- Exported images can be up to 4000 × 2000 pixels. The image shows the whole file; it does not include the playback cursor.
- Stereo files are drawn as one combined waveform.
Questions and answers
Should I save PNG or SVG?
PNG is a regular picture that works everywhere, including social media. SVG is a vector drawing that stays sharp at any size and can be edited in design tools.
Can the background be transparent?
Yes. Turn off the background option and the PNG and SVG will have a transparent background.
What does Normalise do?
It scales the waveform so the loudest point reaches the full height. That helps quiet recordings fill the image. It only changes the picture, not the audio.
